Will Your Vote Serve Liberty or Tryanny ?

July 29, 2009: The Petoskey City Convention adjourned with Mayor Ted Pall winning the incumbent place on the November ballot. Our former Mayor, Herb Carlson, has also entered the race for Mayor.

After a picture or two and brief meeting with a reporter representing our local Petoskey News Review, Mr. Carlson was on his way. As a candidate for Mayor I have not yet held his feet to the fire. I will! For the record, I meet Mr. Carlson in the year 2000. Herb and I shared time on the steps of City Hall. At the time I had no idea he was MY MAYOR. He was simply Herb and I was Sherry when we made our introductions and we continued to sit on the steps talking. I remember him to be well informed and easy to communicate with. I also remember my surprised feeling when a woman appeared and said, "Mayor Carlson can I help you with something."

Serving as a delegate to the 2009 City Convention, I publicly ask a very specific question of Mayor Pall. What I got was BLAH BLAH BLAH, but no concrete answer. Silly me, I ask the question again. Again I got BLAH, BLAH, BLAH. I feel very confident saying: If I were to have ask Mayor Pall his favorite color, he would have answered with a complete description of the color wheel

and given me his idea of a concrete answer....plaid!

Immediately following the City Convention, patrons at the local Pub witnessed Mayor Pall support and create a campaign agenda to get a former five year employee of the Washington, D.C. bureaucracy elected to represent the Third Ward. Mayor Pall not only desires to continue his micromanaging of our city, he wishes to manage the campaign of Ryan Nelson and possibly stack the deck so as to micromanage our elected City Councilmen too.

If you take the time to read the minutes and voting record of our Mayor, Ted Pall has no respect for the U.S. Constitution. Ted Pall voted and allowed to pass, height requirements on natural subbury located on private property. Ted Pall agreed at a City Council meeting and allowed a privately owned bicycle to be ticked for a bumper sticker. (Get your signature on the Pedicab petition. Thank You Jack Turner, Attorney, for defending this kid and the rest of us from Tyranny.) If Pall were quality Mayor material "We the People" would not be paying a City Attorney to defend this blatantly outrages injustice of personal liberty. The American Medical Association may issue licenses to PRACTICE medicine but "We the People" do not want a Mayor practicing with our Liberty.

Ted Pall is a progressive Tax and Spend Mayor, interested in trading personal freedom for the greater good... create blight and nuisance ordinances, rental-housing inspection programs, develop Bear River Valley recreational amenities, a lighthouse, and …… Nice ideas for the greater good but not on my tax dollars!

Will someone please inform Mayor Ted Pall the unemployment rate in Michigan is 15.2%.

I got a dollar says; “If Pall is reelected we will see a millage increase on our tax bill!”

Our city need for a “New” City Planner, a “New” City Attorney and a “New” Chief of Police in one year on Mayor Pall’s watch…………….Things that make me go hummmmmm

and it is my hope, I have given you good reasons

TO GET INVOLVED!

Sincerely Sherry

Watching Petoskey City Hall

The proper function of the elected governing body for the City of Petoskey is to Protect the Lives, Liberty and Property of "We the People, " Nothing More!

Citizens of Petoskey, We need elected officials to PROTECT, not provide; for if the Mayor, Ted Pall, and the City Council are to continue to provide for some, our elected officials will continue to take from others. We the citizens of Petoskey must work together to STOP the legalized plunder and our loss of individual freedom. We need elected officials without personal agenda's!

It is necessary for those who cherish freedom to do more than complain and far more than just casting a vote every few years. Please join me. Together we can discuss, point and counter point, while Watching City Hall.
Sincerely, Sherry

Tax and Spend

For the greater good on June 1, 2009 -
The Mayor, H. Ted Pall, along with three of four City Council members, James Dittmar, William Fraser and Ronald Marshall, levied upon the taxable value of all property within the city the maximum library millage, 1.8141 mills, for library purposes.
Watch for new windows in the old library; courtesy of Mrs. Ted Pall, a library board member, and your tax dollars!

If unnecessary tax and spend are not enough to make you go hummmmm, the very same evening....

Mayor H. Ted Pall and all four City Council members seriously infringed upon our personal property rights. Ordinance 708 was adopted. You my fellow taxpayer can no longer install a fence within your front yard or corner yard, also defined as the area in front of the primary structure that fronts a public street. Trim your hedges, too...hedges greater than 3 feet are not allowed in a front or corner front yard.

To be sure Robin Hood and his band merry men could continue their standard operating policy, discussion of improvement projects before engaging project consultants; and an update concerning the Petoskey Pointe matter were reported.

I wanted to scream...but there was not a concerned city taxpayer to hear me. With no further business to come before the City Council, the meeting was adjourned at 10:10 P.M.
Sincerely Sherry
